Watch: Miley Cyrus Performs in the NYC Subway in Disguise

Thursday Jun 15, 2017

It was a party in the Subway, USA Wednesday when throngs of Manhattan commuters were treated to an impromptu concert from an "incognito" Miley Cyrus.

The only thing hotter than the temperature on the un-air conditioned platform at the Rockefeller Center stop in Manhattan was the music. Wearing a black wig, cowboy hat and oversized sunglasses, pop star Miley Cyrus entertained the crowd incognito with a rousing cover of the Dolly Parton classic "Jolene."

But it takes more than a wig and sunglasses to fool Gothamites. The former Hannah Montana's signature Tennessee accent gave her away. Once the jig was up, Cyrus dropped the disguise and performed a sing along of her hit "Party in the USA."

The Cyrus performance was filmed as a gag for Jimmy Fallon and "The Tonight Show." The bit is familiar territory for the late night host, who, in 2015, had U2 do the same thing at the 42nd Street Subway stop.
