Feud Alert: The Kids from 'It' are Having it Out with a YouTube Makeup Artist

Thursday October 12, 2017

This might be the oddest feud of all time: One of the stars of the box office hit "It" is currently feuding with James Charles, a popular YouTube makeup artist who has had his fair share of controversies.

The drama started last month when Charles, who rose to fame last year after his yearbook photo went viral and landed him a gig with CoverGirl, tweeted during a screening of "It" only to drag the horror film.

"Ok five minutes in and IT is already awful stay tuned for updated," Charles wrote in a now-deleted tweet. "This movie is so predictable I've been texting @beechloren02 what I think is gonna happen next & i've been right every single time so far."

After he deleted his tweets, Charles took to Twitter to explain why he didn't like "It," BuzzFeed points out.

But Finn Wolfhard, the star of the new Stephen King adaptation and "Stranger Things," wasn't having it.

"Why are you on your phone in the movie theater? Rule 1," the 14-year-old actor asked Charles.

The makeup guru initially had fun with Wolfhard's comments and walked back his initial critical tweets of "It."

Fast forward to this week for phase 2 of the feud. Charles shared a video where he gave a makeup tutorial on how to look like a glam version of "It" monster, Pennywise the Clown. In the clip's intro, Charles says he knows haters will say it is "hypocritical" and "ironic" of him to do this makeup video because of the "It" drama.

And of course, that was exactly the case. This time, Wyatt Oleff, who plays Stanley in the new "It" movie, weighed in and tweeted:

BuzzFeed notes fellow YouTuber Shane Dawson got Charles involved when he pointed out Oleff's tweets to him.

Charles wasn't happy.

Oleff, 14, tried to defuse the drama. But the teen's comments didn't do much for the makeup artist.

Oleff apologized and told his fans to not attack Charles.

Charles thanked Oleff, calling him "sister," but the "It" star corrected him to "brother." Charles kept going with "sister," however.

That's when another "It" kid came for Charles. Nicholas Hamilton, who plays Henry Bowers, tweeted at the YouTuber.

Charles has yet to reply.
