Pride Card Raises Funds for AIDS Walk LA

In another great example of the business world and the LGBT community teaming up, the employees of Pride Card Services, a leading gay-owned and -operated credit card processing company, formed a team and raised more than $5,000 at the 29th Annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles on Oct. 13.

"We were thrilled to participate once again in this year's AIDS Walk Los Angeles," said Pride Card Services President and CEO Cliff Teston. "Our team had so much fun at this event and we were honored to raise over $5,000 for a cause that is very near and dear to our hearts."

This industry-leading gay-owned and operated payment processing company has supported community-focused, HIV/AIDS, civil rights and equality-focused charities for more than 15 years. They were happy to continue the tradition by participating in and raising a portion of the $2.5M raised overall to help the APLA and 27 other L.A. County AIDS service organizations who provide essential direct services to thousands of people living with HIV/AIDS, as well as vital HIV prevention work throughout the Southland.

Pride Card Services was especially proud to be a part of this event, as they are also an active contributor and partner of APLA with their successful $250-20-20 program, launched last year. For every new merchant that signs with Pride Card Services, the firm donates $250 to a charity that supports the LGBT community.

Each month thereafter, Pride Card Services donates 20 percent of the net income it earns on that merchant's account. And because the merchant's processing costs are reduced by up to 20 percent over their current processor, Pride Card Services brings considerable benefits to both its merchants and the community, especially considering that they process $500 million in transactions annually.
