What will you get from viewing Bruno Mattei's ("Cruel Jaws") 1983 "Women's Prison Massacre?" There's a plethora of horrid acting and an even worse convoluted screenplay.

The most perplexing item regarding "Women's Prison Massacre" has to be the character of Emmanuelle and how the film was marketed as another installment of the soft-core porn "Black Emmanuelle" series. Not only is her character underused, actress Laura Gemser keeps her clothes on for the first time in the series. You'll get no complaints from me in that department.

Fans may also feel slightly exploited at Scream Factory's Blu-ray: there isn't a single solitary bonus feature to be had. Unless you're a true, long-time fanatic of "Women's Prison Massacre," pass on this release.
