Watch: Billy Heads Back to the Street with Will Ferrell to Get 'Loud... for Kamala'
Kilian Melloy READ TIME: 2 MIN.
"Bros" star and writer Billy Eichner and funnyman buddy Will Ferrell are making a noise in support of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
"'Billy on the Street' is back with a new election-themed video starring host Billy Eichner and Will Ferrell," Rolling Stone reported, referencing Eichner's person-on-the-street show, which ran for five seasons between 2011 - 2017.
"The pair run around the streets of New York City encouraging people to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris," the Rolling Stone report added, noting that the two wear "matching 'Loud White Men for Kamala' shirts..."
In the new video, Rolling Stone detailed, "Eichner and Ferrell offer up a dollar to strangers as they ask them who they're voting for." It's not quite the million-dollar giveaway offered to voters by Trump supporter Elon Musk, but it's got a playful, joyous edge that has characterized much of Harris' campaign.
"Sir, for a dollar, which would you rather see a sequel to: 'Elf,' or Trump?" Eicher screams at one man. The man's reply is "Elf" – and, prompting even more excitement from Eichner and Ferrell, the man says he's planning to cast his ballot for Harris and adds that he has "just registered" to vote, at which point Eichner pulls the startled man into a hug. "Oh my God!" Eichner hollers, and Ferrell, too, piles on. "Thank you!!"
Happening upon a female voter, Eichner cries, "Miss, we are Loud White Men for Kamala!"
"Good for you!" the woman cheers. "I am, too! Awesome! Go, Kamala! Love her!"
An older man approaches the scene to declare his own support for the Democratic nominee.
"Have you seen 'Semi-Pro?'" Ferrell interjects. To the man's blank look he adds, "One of my movies?" Dejected, Ferrell storms off, but the comedic pair soon find a new citizen, a young man, to exhort to "Join the call!"
"Hell yeah, I'm in!" the young man exclaims.
Next up are a pair of young women. Eichner rushes up to them, asking, "Miss, for a dollar, how many undecided white women have been able to commit to seeing 'Wicked' months in advance?"
"I don't know," one of the women says, looking panicked, as the other jumps in with, "Her and me!"
As Eichner quizzes them further, both reveal they are not undecided at all: They are voting for Harris.
But the duo have more up their sleeves. Eichner and Ferrell "also dare to pose the question, 'Would you have sex with a Trump voter?' to unanimous, disapproving gagging noises," Rolling Stone noted.
"Billy on the Street" ran for three seasons on Fuse, with the final two seasons airing on TruTV. The special election edition is available on YouTube. Watch it below.
